Dear all,

This is Tammy. I’m back to Taipei now, yet my heart is still there in Qing dao with you all. It often takes some time to really get back to my life in Taipei.

I really appreciate you all for having enriched my life. You know what: people never get tired while doing something they really enjoy. Visiting you, studying with you, watching movies and sharing our reflections on them or some other things and having parties are exactly what I enjoy doing with you all.

I’ve found that all of you have improved a lot since I last saw you and your performances in every way really shock me though there are still some to be improved, especially those routines in your daily lives, which we talked about during the class meetings we had. Hopefully, you can follow the rules we set up then. Just remember that all the rules we set up are good for you and you are willing to follow them because you do believe they are good for you yourselves. Go! Go! Go!

You should know that I have always had confidence in you all. I also believe that you can do well on whatever assigned to you. You are “Number 1.”

Time spent with you all is what I cherish most. I often envy you to have such a big family  growing up and sharing everything with you on the way.

The following three sayings are what I want you to keep in mind.

“Never put off until tomorrow what you can do to day.”
                  “There’s no shortcut in learning.”
                  “Look before you leap.”

I’m playing the songs we listened there in Qingdao. Listening to them makes me happy and they can bring back the happy time spent with you all. Your faces keep popping up in my mind.I’d like to say:
For those “OLD” students, you should know that no paper is long enough for me to write down all the things I want to say. So,

Amanda: Smiling is the most beautiful expression that can bring joy to those around and you yourself.

九一: I’m used to calling you “九一”. Take care of yourself. Just remember that health is above everything.

Monica: Did you open the file I put in your USB? If you have any questions about it, please feel free to ask me.

Roger: 飛機。Do believe that you can make it in whatever you really want to do. The song you sang that night was quite impressive. I won’t forget it.

James: 木牛兒。You are thoughtful, optimistic and gentle. You are quite a person.

Robert: Keep smiling and be optimistic about the road ahead. Just do it.

Jimmy: Silence is gold. Always know when to talk and when to keep silence. You are really serious while working and that’s what impresses me a lot.

Patrick: Never give up learning, no matter what. Open your mind to everything and be more thoughtful to others.

Michael: You are really a gentleman. People feel happy to be around you. You are gentle, kind and enthusiastic.

David: Though you are young, yet you are quite philosophic in some way. I’m impressed by the words popped out of you mouth. I enjoy the songs you sing. Go pursue you dream and I believe you can make it.

Kevin: 阿星。You are quite knowledgeable because you enjoy reading and you are doing that all the time. Yet, I want to say it’s worth spending some time with those around and offering a helping hand for those who need it. I believe you’ll gain more that money can’t buy.

Jason: You know what I want to say. Still, I want to say, “Keep doing and be more modest.” Keep your creative mind. That’s what you can break through all the boundaries ahead and open up a bright future for yourself. Don’t forget the promise you made, teaching Roger, Porter and Amanda Phonetics― pronunciation symbols. I’m counting on you.

Steve: (Kill the horse.) Look before you leap. Do not do or say anything on impulse. Be patient in your position and you will find that there’s always something that’s worth learning. You are not you yourself only now. Be a more responsible person. You know what I mean.

Frank: 小孩子。You are big and tall but still a kid in the mind. Good for that and keep that. No hurry to grow up but enjoy everything on the way of growing up. How’s the wound on the left side of your mouth? Getting better?

William: Be careful at work. The area you’re working in is quite dangerous, so be very, very, very careful. Keep learning.

Eric: You look quite happy and optimistic. Good for you. Yet, you too. Be careful at work. No more injuries on you OK? Try hard in learning. Believe me. You can do it.

Anthony: Teacher A-bi. I take every word you spoke to me while hugging the night before I left Qing dao seriously. And I believe what you said and I know you can make it. I have confidence in you. You do have changed a lot. Go. Go. Go.

For those newcomers, all of you are great, diligent and cute.

Albert: I know you have grown up. To me, you are still a kid. I felt pain in the heart while listening to some things you have been through. Yet, I know you will be stronger because of them. Go. Go. Go. Happy to work, happy to studies and happy to lead your life ahead.

Porter: Young as you, you seem quite easy in Qing dao. Life doesn’t seem to bother you at all. You do have grown up. Hope you enjoy your life in Qing dao. Don’t forget to learn “Phonetics” from Jason.

Mark: Take good care of yourself, especially your stomach. I want to tell you to be more active in learning. You were really a quite diligent student in Ta-yin-pan. Hopefully, the diligent Mark can come back soon. You can, I know. Be serious at work and studies. And be happy at playing.

Catherine: 秀花姊。It’s so nice to have you around. You are a quite competent person, optimistic and full of energy. Yet, the road to learning is always there. So, keep learning. And remember, try to speak more slowly and more clearly.

Jack: You are a quite polite person, always greeting me with “老-師-好”. I’m quite impressed by your determination in learning. I’m touched by the strong will you have in doing things, both in the factory and in learning English. Keep it. Never give up.

Margaret: 高姊姊。I feel happy to see those smiles on your face. You seldom talk but I can see that you are happy in Qing dao. Jack is really lucky to have your accompanying. And you are a quite good sister to Jack. I want to say, “Keep learning and never give up.”

Emily: Lovely girl. I can see you around all the time, always with a smile. You are quite good in learning. And you are thoughtful. Though you seldom talk, yet you are there. It’s hard not to see you. Get more sleep. I think you need it. I feel warm with the blue scarf on my neck.

Peter: You are really something, quiet but know what to do. You’ve learned to be more active and you really did it. You are the first one that asked me to record the Phonetics for you and learn the symbols by yourself. I’m impressed. Keep going.

Charles: 老夫子。That’s what I feel about you. I find that you are quite good in Chinese literature. It’s good for you. Words are really magic because they can transmit all the ideas or thoughts one has in mind. Through them, you can make yourself understood. Good for you and keep going.

Amy: Lovely girl with a sweet voice. Serious in work. Yet, I want to say, “Keep learning.”

REMEMBER: Study hard, work hard & play hard. That’s the golden rule of Hopewing.

With love,
Tammy (20101014)
